Tier III Service Technician

Our Service team is currently looking for that perfect mix of a technologist who is lighthearted, neighbourly and informed to perform the following Tier III support services.  

  • Provide complex support for escalated tickets covering all types of software and hardware devices
  • Coordinate Tier I and II Technicians assigned to various projects and tickets, and liaison with Project Manager to ensure expected outcomes are delivered
  • Liaison with client and vendor stakeholders as necessary
  • Research, design and implement new IT infrastructure while maintaining and supporting existing client infrastructure
  • Provide input and feedback related to project quotes and invoices
  • Monitor and maintain client line of business applications
  • Properly document configurations and support tickets
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of system and data backups
  • Assist with client wide hardware and software deployments, configurations and maintenance
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekday shift every 6 weeks, 1 weekend shift every 3 months)

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Graduated from post-secondary Systems Administration program
  • 5+ years in IT services field, including server & infrastructure design/implementation experience
  • Microsoft certification(s), other vendor certifications would be an asset
  • Proven project management skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Experience in software and hardware support
  • Familiarity with Desktop and Office productivity suites
  • Experience with active directory, mail and line of business account creation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • An eye for the details
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
